Don’t Miss Your Chance to Recycle Old And Faulty Car Seats
ST. CLOUD - AAA is helping you recycle your old and faulty car seats in recognition of National Child Passenger Safety Week.
The auto club will start accepting the car seats, limit two per family, Monday September 18th through Friday September 22nd.
Gail Weinholzer of AAA says it is important for people to know that car seats do not last forever.
"One of the things that most people aren't aware of is car seats can expire, be recalled and are not to be reused after a crash. It is important that people not reuse those."
The recycled car seat will be disassembled and sent to the city of Marshall.
"They have a recycling program out there. They have a relationship with a local organization out there that will [take them apart] so they can be sent to the recycling."
The address that the items can be dropped off is AAA of St. Cloud at 3959 2nd Street South, Suite 210, St Cloud from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
AAA is requesting a $5 donation to help with the cost of recycling.
