Loaded, Duff McKagan's current band, will open two shows for his former band this week.

On December 16th and 17th, Duff's group will share the stage with Guns N' Roses in Seattle and Vancouver, respectively.

Duff played bass for GnR from 1985 until 1987 and has through the years appeared to still have at least a somewhat congenial relationship with Axl Rose: he made worldwide headlines in October 2010 when he joined the current version of Guns onstage for four songs at a concert in London, England, marking the first time he had set foot on a stage with Guns N' Roses in 17 years.

Next March, GnR will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and naturally reunion rumours regarding the original line up have swirled.

Duff will no doubt join Axl for a song or two during this week's shows, and you wonder if he'll broach the subject of Slash, Izzy and the rest of the old guard getting together at some point.

Recently, former Guns drummer Matt Sorum said in an interview that he didn't have very high expectations as far as a HOF reunion goes.

"It's going to be as big of a train wreck as the Sex Pistols, Blondie, or any of those other bands," he told Australia's The Vine. "That's my prediction. Or Van Halen, which I don't know if you saw, but we (Velvet Revolver) were involved in that. Train wreck; it was a complete train wreck. But maybe it won't; maybe it will be a miracle; I hope for that and put out the positive vibrations."

Duff himself echoed that point last month saying "I can't. I can't picture it. Your guess is as good as mine. There is no picture."

Stay tuned!
