An earworm can be the most annoying thing!  A song that is stuck in your head, you have it playing on a constant repeat, and if you are anything like me it's generally just a small part of the song.. and I might not even know any more of the song.  It's like 3 lines that just keep going.  Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and I still think about it.  And it could be something as annoying as the Barney song.  Remember that thing???  Horrible.

So, how do you get rid of it?  There have been studies on this.  The strangest one I've found is chewing gum.  Really?  If that works I'm all about it.  I don't care if it's 2am, and I can't sleep because of the freakin' Barney song.  I'll get up and chew some gum!  Another way is to just simply listen to the song... but isn't that how we got here in the first place?  There are a few other ways too... but chewing gum does seem to be there strangest one.

Here's to ear worms!  And not having the Barney song stuck in your head.
