Elton John's health scare last week left his tour hanging in the balance, but the Rocket Man is on the mend and sounds like he may resume performing this week.

Last week, Elton John was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for treatment of a severe upper respiratory infection and had to cancel his shows planned for Las Vegas this weekend, leaving the future of his tour up in the air. Elton was ordered to rest up and take a round of antibiotics. He released a statement apologizing for the cancellation of the Million Dollar Piano performances because he loves to do the show. Over the weekend it was announced that the Rocket Man is on the mend and everything will continue on as scheduled.

So far, the majority of the shows are scheduled for Europe, however, according the Elton John website, he will be back in the states in September for dates across the south. Nothing has been scheduled for Minnesota yet, but we will keep an eye on it for you.

No word on if Elton will reschedule his canceled Vegas performances.
