Hot and humid conditions will lead to dangerous heat indices of 100˚ to 110˚ this afternoon, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a Heat Advisory for the St. Cloud area. Storms will develop this evening, with Central Minnesota at moderate risk for severe weather tonight.

According to the National Weather Service, heat related illnesses will be a concern today, especially for the young and elderly. An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect for the Twin Cities.
