Being both a father and a stepfather, this story really hits home. Fortunately, the kids aren't of marrying-age yet, but that day will come.

Todd Bachman and Todd Cendrosky have had a strained relationship for years. Todd B is the father of Brittany Peck; Todd C is the stepfather. Father vs Stepfather is a difficult dynamic; one is the biological paternal guardian, the other is the (often) half-paternal guardian.

When the dynamic is introduced into a relationship with a child, the strain takes on a whole new level.

Two weeks before the nuptials, Brittany called her father in a state of panic, not knowing who should walk her down the aisle. Both Todds have been a part of her life since she was 11.

Todd B (the father) took matters into his own hands. When it came time to walk his daughter down the aisle, he stopped the ceremony, grabbed Todd C (stepfather) by the hand, and brought him over to Brittany. Together, they gave the bride away.

Major kudos to Todd B (the father), because stepparents are too-oft treated as secondary guardians (and often used as villains in movies). This father stepped-up, and made the day truly about the bride.

So does this mean that there could've been two shotguns at the wedding?
