ALEXANDRIA - The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for southern Douglas and northern Pope counties until 9:30 a.m. this (Monday) morning.

Rainfall rates of three inches per hour have been observed south of Alexandria, with two to four inches of rain falling in 90 minutes.

Some locations that will experience flooding include: Alexandria, Lowry, Kensington, Holmes City, Villard, Forada, and Farwell.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will causing flooding of small creeks and streams, county roads, farmland, and other low lying spots.
