FOLEY -- Foley police are asking for your help in identifying an attempted robbery suspect.

Chief Katie McMillin says around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday police responded to McDonald's.

The suspect is a thin white woman in her mid-30s, 5' 5" with curly hair. She was wearing blue jeans, a purple sweatshirt with a pink shirt underneath and sunglasses. The suspect entered the McDonald's and asked to speak to the manager.

The woman then told the manager that he was to empty the safe. The manager refused and tried to give the suspect food or drink instead. The woman then threatened to kill everyone in the store multiple times.

Before leaving she joked about the threats and claimed she was a reporter. When police arrived they did not find a woman matching the suspect's description. Authorities say the woman may have left in a white car.

Foley police do not believe the public is in any danger.
