Former Warrant Lead Singer Jani Lane Has Died

Another rock voice gone far too soon. Where was he found? What happened? What are his former band mates saying? 

Former Warrant lead singer Jani Lane was found dead last night at a Comfort Inn Hotel in the Los Angeles area. He was 47.

Lane had been struggling with addiction for several years and had left the band to pursue a solo career in 2004. When that didn't pan out, he rejoined the group in 2008, but his addiction was just too much so he left before 2009. Lane also appeared on VH-1's Celebrity Fit Club where his drug and alcohol use were very well documented.

His former band mates haven't made any comments thus far. Police do not have a cause of death at this time and foul play is not suspected, but it is believed that drugs and alcohol may have been a factor.
