Sane folk tend to keep winter fun to ice fishing, skating, snowmobiling, etc. Insane folk tend to take those things to extremes.

Gotta blow off steam somehow, right?

When I was a teenager, my brother and I took an 80's Chevy Nova and whipped donuts on a frozen lake. I've been launched off of snowmobiles, crashed into trees while skiing, and have absolutely ZERO ice skating skills. Fortunately, that was all before cellphones with cameras were widespread.
