The Minnesota Gophers Men's Basketball team (15-9, 4-7) stopped the streaking Purdue Boilermakers (15-9, 7-4) 62-58 this afternoon at Williams Arena. Purdue came to Minneapolis off four straight Big Ten wins, sitting in third place in the conference.

The Gophers have now won four straight home games, but need to prove they can take their success on the road. Six of Minnesota's seven Big Ten losses this season have been by a margin of five points or less.

Andre Hollins led the Gophers in scoring with 18 points. Hollins and Maurice Walker each collected 5 rebounds. Purdue committed 23 turnovers in the game.

Next up for the Golden Gophers; Thursday night at Iowa (6 PM on the Big Ten Network).

Go Gophers!
