The Good Gophers showed up to play on Friday night in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.

The #11-seeded Gophers upset #6-seed UCLA 83-63 in Austin, Texas and advanced to face #3 Florida on Sunday.

The game was close for only the first few minutes until the Gophers pulled away. Minnesota led by ten at the half and the Bruins could not close the gap to fewer than eight points in the second half.

Andre Hollins had a spectacular game for the Gophers with 28 points, nine rebounds and five assists. The guard shot 8-16 from the floor, 5-8 from downtown and 7-7 from the free throw line.

Austin Hollins added 16 points for Minnesota and Joe Coleman contributed 14 in the winning effort.
