Unfortunately, I grew up around country music. No offense to you if you happen to be a country fan, but it’s just not my thing. Maybe it’s the twangy guitars, cliché’ lyricism, or the southern accents. Whatever it is, I just can’t get into it. However, country music did play a huge role in my life growing up.

Both of my parents were pretty incredible musicians and I watched them play countless shows growing up (most of their material being country.) Some of my earliest memories are of watching the Grand Ole Opry with my folks.

And if you’re a fan of the genre, you know that to be involved with the legendary Grand Ole Opry is a pretty big deal. Which is why it’s pretty cool that John Conlee himself will be performing at the Paramount Theatre (St. Cloud.)

John has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1981, so if you’re able to attend, you’ll be in the presence of country music royalty. He’ll be doing two performances on July 12th – One at 1:30 pm and the second at 7 pm. You can get your tickets online now for $24 - $28 a piece.
