A massive morning parade jump starts the Saturday events for Granite City Days. Stake your parade route spot early, because this year's line-up is bigger than ever. The floats, bands and dignitaries step off onto 13th Street South around 10am on Saturday. Bring the kids so they can load up on candy and you can kick back and enjoy the numerous marching bands and entertainment.

If you're hungry after the parade, follow the route to the end at Pantown Park and pick up some dogs, chips and lemonade, provided by St. Peter's Church.

At 11:30am, truck over to Ham's Music, as the 3nd Annual Summer Showcase featuring area youth and adult amateur musicians strikes a chord. Performers this year include St. Cloud favorites Slip Twister and Preston and Paulzine. The music is non-stop til 5:30pm.

At 6pm, take the short walk over to Lake George for the Granite Kids Triathlon.
