Greg Kihn a Baltimore native kicked off his career in San Fransisco,Calif. back in 1972 where he primarily worked painting houses and singing in the streets.

'The Breakup Song' song is better known as "They Don't Write Em' Like That Anymore," the song's hook. It basically defines break-up songs in Rock's early songs, as Greg laments both his recent breakup and the fact that they don't write very good breakup songs anymore.

'The Break up Song' was his biggest hit until 1983 when he released 'Jeopardy' of the 'RockihnRoll' album.

Greg utilizes a lot of his time doing charity work for “Operation Care and Comfort” which is a military support group responsible for putting together care packages for the Military deployed in harm’s way all over the world.

Greg was nominated for the 2010 “Man of the Year Award” by the Lymphoma Society. He also does work for the Children’s Hospital in Oakland in the fight against cancer.

In 2007, Greg Kihn was inducted into the San Jose Rock Hall of Fame.
