Gregg Allman is battling a number of health issues and just as his book tour was set to begin, it has been delayed due another health scare.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gregg Allman will undergo cardiac testing. Gregg recently had hernia surgery and this is just a diagnostic test related to that to see if he needs any more treatment for his hernia.

That means he can't go out on tour to promote his new memoir called My Cross to Bear. The tour was supposed to start on May 1 in New York City. He's also going to miss tour stops in Massachusetts, New Jersey and Macon, Georgia. If Gregg gets clearance, his tour is supposed to start May 8 in Atlanta.

He says that he's grateful for all of the support from the fans. His book has been four years in the making and was originally supposed to be titled I'm No Angel after his solo hit of the same name. He adds that it has been a true labor of love and he's very excited to see it in stores as well as touring the country and connecting with fans. There are no Minnesota stops on the tour. The closest he'll come is Chicago. If you find yourself in the windy city next month, you can meet him at Costco on May 12.

Gregg will have the cardiac test today at Mayo Clinic in Florida.
