U2 is nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song. Most nominees say win or lose, it's "an honor to be nominated". How does Bono feel about it?

U2 front man Bono tells Billboard that he's really hoping they win an Academy Award next month.

U2 is nominated for Best Original Song for Ordinary Love that they wrote and performed for the film Mandela: A Long Walk to Freedom. Bono said that the whole group put a lot of time and effort into the song to make it perfect because they didn't have all the time in the world to get it right.

Bono said that even though they worked really hard on their song, the competition this year is very stiff and as much as he wants to win, but doesn't expect to win on Oscar night.

The group will be on hand to perform their song. You can check it out on ABC Sunday, March 2.

Meanwhile, U2 was the musical guest on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon which made its premiere last night on NBC and it was awesome.
