How much would you pay for a signed copy of the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club album? One person is willing to shell out six figures for it.

Apparently money can't buy you love, but it can buy you some pretty sweet Beatles memorabilia.

Last week, we told you about a signed copy of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band going up on the auction block last week and it was expected to sell for about $30 thousand dollars. Early bids surpassed that by tens of thousands of dollars.

The auction closed over the weekend and the album sold for $290,500.

When we say signed, we mean signed - by all four Beatles.

No one knows who the buyer is and according to The Hollywood Reporter this sale shattered the record for the price of a signed Beatles album. The old record was set a few years ago. A signed copy of Meet the Beatles went for $150 thousand at auction.
