Some things on Amazon are amazing deals. On the other hand, if it's too good to be true then it probably is.

A couple weeks ago I ordered my favorite cologne, Dolce & Gabbana - The One. Normally an average size bottle is about $70 for 1.7 ounces. This usually last me for a couple months and only takes a couple quirts to last all day.

I was checking out Amazon and saw a whopping 3.3 ounce bottle for $65 and thought "HOLY! I've gotta get it!". Even better, it was a Prime item so it included free 2-day shipping. In just a couple days I'd be back on scent bliss and smelling like a champ again.

When it arrived I about fell on the floor how huge that bottle was, so the next morning I figured I'd put 3 squirts on and walk around the office like Pepe Le Pew, but in a good way. Not more than 10 minutes after putting it on, the scent was gone, like it just evaporated with little to be whiffed. I tried 6 more squirts and got the same result.

So I thought I got a junk bottle or something, no problem, I'll call Amazon and they'll take care of refunding it. The guy from Amazon was extremely nice and said to keep the bottle and they'll send a replacement right away. Works for me! Well, I got the new bottle and same thing...it doesn't hold the scent. I got duped twice and not going to ever order cologne again from there. Even if it was $1, not worth it for lathering yourself in it to get a scent for 10 minutes.

I'm starting to realize every day that buying local is so much better, especially in this case.
