An argument always seems to ensue when brought up as to who should be in the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame.

2015 isn't that far away and there are a lot of potential bands and artists yet to be nominated.

Some choice recording artists, as well as; behind-the-scenes music makers have been left out of next year’s running and why? The following artists are very deserving of entry.

  • Al Kooper - His name is usually linked to artists like Mike Bloomfield and Bob Dylan. Deserving so. Al is multi- instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and producer. Very vita in the 1960s and 70s. Collaborated a lot with Bob Dylan and was there when Dylan went electric. "Like a Rolling Stone" is a good way to define his organ work.A key Dylan collaborator. Founder of Blood,Sweat and Tears and a pioneer of the Blues project. A key guest on many recordings by the Rolling Stones.as well as others. Al discovered and first produced Lynyrd Skynyrd. Al  Kooper is a key to the  history of classic rock.
  • Mike Bloomfield - The Paul Butterfield Blues Band is deserving in itself to in but Mike Bloomfield, a guitarist who has influenced many deserves to be in as well. Talk about a guitar player Mike is it before you really heard of Eric Clapton or Jimi Hendrix.  He was with Butterfield Blues band only two years (65-67) he was a catalyst in introducing blues-rock.  Bloomfield’s work with Bob Dylan (“Like A Rolling Stone”) and Al Kooper (established his already solid position in the rock six-string group of the best

Burt Bacharach - One of the greatest of all modern American composers, belongs in a pop rather than a rock and roll music group. However it's his genius that influenced, when Elvis, The Drifters even The Beatles record your music, well enough said. . Burt's contributions as a songwriter and producer have by now become a key part of the popular music. The quality of Burt's work is no match to many as it keeps it fresh and alive, quality writing to say the least. Put him in.

  • The Mahavishnu Orchestra - Tthe wedding of rock music and jazz  became what we know as Fusion and emerged in the late '60s. One of most significant, rock-oriented outfits was this band with out a doubt. The emergence of guitarist John McLaughlin. The Inner Mounting Flame and Birds Of Fire, the first two albums from the band’s original lineup that included keyboardist  Jeff Beck , Jan Hammer, and drummer Billy Cobham, they exploded into the music scene with rock intensity  incorporating elements of virtuosic jazz improvisation.

That's my take I say Let them In!!
