March officially marks Women's History Month, this article I feature Stevie Nicks.

An accomplished singer/songwriter with both Fleetwood Mac and as a solo artist.

Essential albums:

  • 'Fleetwood Mac' (1975)
  • 'Rumours' (1977)

Solo albums:

  • 'Bella Donna' (1981)
  • 'The Wild Heart' (1983)
  • 'Rock A Little' (1985)

Stevie's signature songs:

(With Fleetwood Mac)

  • "Rhiannon"
  • "Dreams"
  • "Landslide"
  • "Sara"

Solo:

  • "Edge of Seventeen"
  • "Stand Back"

From the album, 'Rumours' I feature the songs "Dreams."

During the recording of this song everyone in the band was going through relationship breakups (odd), Stevie wrote this in the studio next door, where Sly Stone happened to be recording. Sly Stone had a semicircular bed and red velvet all over the walls - a great vibe for a song about dreams.
