Is Dusty Hill Going to Shave His Iconic Beard?

In an interview with a newspaper in Las Vegas, Dusty was asked about shaving his beard. Here's what he had to say.

The Las Vegas Sun recently did an interview with ZZ Top's Dusty Hill and they asked him a number of questions, one of them being "When are you going to shave?" His answer? In short, "Never".

I know this is hard to believe, but Dusty has had facial hair since he was 16 and it has been a part of his image ever since. Dusty is now 63 and admits he doesn't remember what it's like to pull a razor across his face. In the early days of his career, he says that he performed with a number of different bands and would go twice a week to get a really close shave, but when he grew his mustache all those years ago, it was all over.

He admits that no one, not even his wife has really ever seen him without his facial hair. Gillette once even offered him and his partner, Billy Gibbons a million dollars to shave off their iconic beards. Again, not even for a million dollars would they shave their beards.

Dusty says that the beard isn't just a part of his image, but it's also a part of him, so even when ZZ Top calls it quits, he says he still isn't going to shave. Ever.
