To me it seems just crazy to barrel down the road at sometimes 60 to 70 miles per hour in 2000 pounds of steel and feel that it's safe not wearing a seat belt. You always hear on the news that "passengers were thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene". It's much worse than it sounds. First of all, one is probably thrown through a window, windshield or ejected from the car as it rolls and a car door pops open. In some cases, the vehicle rolls over the victim, either killing them or injuring them badly. Granted, I'm sure there have been instances where the seat belt actually caused some sort of injury but odds are you are better off being belted in. All this isn't even taking into account injuries that can be sustained by flying forward into and exploding airbag. So, it really seems to be a no brainer,.wear you seat belt and reduce the chance of serious injury or death. If you won't do it for yourself, do it for the people that care about you. It's's not that big of a deal. Buckle up! End of rant. Thanks for reading this.
