Billy Joel wrote "Movin' Out" to express disdain for the conventional definitions of success and all that achievement, so there's no real protest on the subject of paying taxes.

"Movin' Out" comes off the album 'The Stranger' which was released in 1977.

"You can pay Uncle Sam with overtime,
