I’ve been seated next to some interesting people on a plane

I used to fly a lot.  Like it seemed like about once every two months or so when I lived out of state.  One of my favorite things was finding out who I was going to be seated next to.  Since I was usually alone on these flights, it was just sort of fun to see the people waiting for the same flight as me, and wondering who was going to be the "lucky" person.

I've had some interesting flights with this situation.  There was a little girl who was scared out of her wits at the thought of flying.  Thankfully the flight attendant asked me if I would like to move.  THANK GOD!  I've had the dude next to me who chats the entire time.  But at least he was mildly interesting, since I can't sleep on flights.  And there was the poor asian gentleman who I inadvertently doused with hand lotion.  That was embarrassing.  OOPS!  Never underestimate the power of the pressure in an airplane when opening anything liquid.

But this is something that you read about in a fiction novel, or see in some chick flick.  A woman posted a story on her Instagram account about a couple who were seated together because the airline had seated this woman apart from her boyfriend.  She asked the 2nd woman to switch, and the rest was romantic history.  She captured everything on her Instagram acct including pictures of the goings on in front of her... I half expected there to be a bit more than there was... but it's still interesting.  At least her flight probably went by quickly!

Apparently the dude was some former pro soccer player.  No word on who the woman was though.

So, next time someone asks you to switch seats, maybe you should.  You may wind up with the love of your life.  Although that would suck if you are already attached to someone else... OOPS!
