Jeff Beck was way ahead of his time, already considered one of the premiere rock guitarists by 1975.

Jeff, the extreme innovator who significantly transformed the sound of the guitar like nobody's business.

His acclaimed work with The Jeff Beck Group that introduced us to Rod Stewart and The Yardbirds had elevated him to the level of Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton.

Beck had been listening to the early fusion bands that were merging jazz and rock particularly the band The Mahavishu Orchestra which featured John McLaughlin (guitar), Jan Hammer (keyboards and Billy Cobham (drums).

The intensity of the band's music inspired Jeff to explore his own brand of fusion and laid it on us next time he went into the recording studio.

Thank You Jeff Beck!
