You know, we can remember back when Jimmy Fallon was just that giggly guy on ‘Saturday Night Live‘ who couldn’t hold it together even moments through a sketch, and now, he’s a spokesman for Capital One, late night media darling, and now, sitting down with the President.  Ain’t life funny?

That’s right, according to Deadline, the Commander in Chief, President Barack Obama himself will be putting in an appearance on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,’ continuing his tradition as the first sitting president to participate in late-night talk shows .  Rather than actually appear on the New York set however, ‘Late Night’ will appear Tuesday April 24 in a segment taped at the University of North Carolina.

Contributing to a week of shows to be filmed at Chapel Hill at the University of North Carolina, Obama is expected to discuss student loan affordability.  ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ is the latest in a number of late-night appearances for the President, having previously appeared on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,’ ‘The Late Show with David Letterman,’ ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’ and ‘The Colbert Report.’

Fallon himself has also hosted a number of political figures, including Donald Trump, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and former New York city mayor Rudy Giuliani.  Most famously of course was Michelle Bachmann’s appearance, whose entrance was controversially accompanied by house band The Roots playing Fishbone’s “Lyin’ Ass Bitch.  Presumably, the band will be friendlier to Obama.

Additionally, the episode will feature performances from The Dave Matthews Band.
