John McCutcheon kicks off Sartell’s Music in the Park

SARTELL - Sartell's free Music in the Park series kicks off tonight (Thursday). GRAMMY nominated John McCutcheon will be the first performer of the series.

The concert will be in Pincone Central Park located at 1105 Central Park Blvd in Sartell. McCutcheon will take the stage at 7:00 p.m. There is a total of four concerts this year including artists Imagine Haggis, Becky Schlegel Trio, and Greg Herriges' New Whirled Band.

August 6th - Becky Schlegel Trio
August 13th - Greg Herriges' New Whirled Band

As part of the concert series movies will also be shown at the park. This is the second year the city has done this. Tonight Dirty Dancing will start at 8:30 p.m, and A Bug's Life will be shown on August 13th.

Concession stands will be available at the park, but you are also welcome to bring your own snacks.

In case of rain the concerts will be held in The Water's Church auditorium. The church is located at 1227 Pinecone Road North. As for the movies the showings will be at Sauk Rapids-Rice Middle School at 901 First Street South in Sauk Rapids. You can enter the school using door 4.
