Most people who I know that are music fanatics typically agree that the 70s  and 80s were the golden era of music. Most of the popular bands of the time had musicianship that was through the roof, not mention how innovative they were.

It’s pretty safe to say that bands like Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd changed the course of modern music forever. Another group that belongs in the category of revolutionary bands is Journey.

Let’s be honest, EVERYONE loves Journey. I’ve never met anyone who didn’t, and quite frankly I don’t want to. It’s pretty cool that they’re coming to Target Field with Def Leppard, but if you’re like most of us you probably don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars going to see them.

If you love the music of Journey and are on a budget I recommend checking out the Journey tribute band “SFO.” They do a pretty remarkable job re-creating all of those classic tunes, and they also cover some Kansas and Foreigner too. SFO is playing Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake on August 9th. Their performance starts at 8 pm and admission is completely free.
