Kids Can Attend Class Tonight To Make Artistic Mother’s Day Gift

You know, Mother's Day is approaching pretty quickly. It’s hard to believe it’ll be here in just a few weeks. Unfortunately for my own mother, I won’t be spending this Mother’s Day with her because I’m going to Northern Invasion. But that doesn’t mean that I’m not going to try to do something thoughtful for her.

Sure, I could get her the stereotypical flowers and chocolate, complete with some hokey, overly sentimental card whose text I didn’t even write. But I do that every year, and it’s starting to feel like a cop-out.

While trying to brainstorm ideas for something to do for my momma bear on Mother’s Day I stumbled across this event – “Create A Mother’s Day Gift With Artistic Me” taking place tonight form 6 pm to 8 pm at The Great River Regional Library. It’s for kids ages 11 to 16. They’ll be making a ceramic trinket bowl with an artist from Artistic Me to give to their moms on Mother’s Day. You can register for the event online now.
