Winter's second release for Columbia was a very interesting affair as to insure superior quality the original fourth side of this double album was blank.

Regardless the whole album rocked loud and proud.

It contained a few of Winter's signature performances including his inspired reworkings of Bob Dylan's "Highway 61 Revisited" (VIDEO below). Highway 61 is a real road that actually runs from Minnesota to New Orleans. Dylan states "Highway 61 begins about where I came from, Duluth, to be exact." He added, "I always felt like I'd started on it, always had been on it, and could go anywhere from it."

Winter also nailed Chuck Berry's anthem "Johnny B. Goode," as well as the Winter original, "Hustled Down In Texas."

The  CD later to be released finds a 1970 live performance that roars from London's Royal Albert Hall. Johnny would be joined by his brother Edgar.

Winter rips through blues favorites and offers a sneak  preview of Edgar Winter's 1973 instrumental hit, "Frankenstein."
