Liquor Store Sunday Sales is Finally Here!
It's been 159 years of prohibition in Minnesota, and it's finally coming to an end starting Sunday, just in time for the 4th of July holiday.
For years the Minnesota legislature has turned down the bill to allow Sunday off-sale, but this year it finally passed, and the prohibition end-date is set for July 2nd of this year.
As of this Sunday, liquor stores have the choice of opening, or staying closed as they always have. Many of the larger liquor stores will likely be open on Sundays from this point forward, while some of the smaller liquor stores may choose to stay closed to give their smaller staff a day off.
Expect a rush if you plan to buy liquor on Sunday, many people will likely go to the liquor store just the be able to say they finally bought liquor on Sunday. Sales are allowed between 10am and 6pm. You can bet that I will, just for the nostalgia!
