LITTLE FALLS - Two people were arrested after a high speed chase, ending in a crash, in Little Falls.

Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen says the incident happened shortly before 9:00 p.m. Sunday on Haven Road just south of Little Falls.

Authorities say they tried to stop a vehicle that was heading north on Haven Road, traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle didn't stop. Little Falls police officers were able to get the license plate number and learned the vehicle was stolen out of Richfield.

The chase ended when the vehicle crashed near the intersection of 243rd Street and 147th Avenue in Ripley Township. Larsen says the driver and passenger of the vehicle then fled on foot.

Twenty-six-year-old Johnson Browneagle and 22-year-old Alexandra Hanks, both of Minneapolis, were arrested and taken to the Morrison County Jail where they are awaiting formal charges.
