ST. CLOUD -- A local Veteran is giving back to back to those who protect our communities this winter season.

Nate Chapman, of Rice, has served in military for about 15 years, receiving tremendous support from local veterans and law enforcement in the community and wanted to return the favor.

"I own a skid loader, plow, truck and trailer and I thought as a way to say thank you to the community that supporter me and my wife, we would plow driveways around the St. Cloud area," says Chapman.

Plowing Vets is a non-profit organization providing free snow removal services for the men and women that protect and serve the community.

Chapman says his family and friends plans to donate their time shoveling driveways, parking lots, and sidewalks to veterans, police officers, fire fighters and first responders.

"Hopefully there's a lot of veterans and law enforcement that are interested in allowing us to give back like this for them," says Chapman.

A Go Fund Me account has been set up to raise funds to cover the operation costs such as gas and equipment repairs.

Chapman says if you are interested in helping shovel snow he would be happy to have you. He plans to start planning routes and snow removal requests later this week.
