From the National Weather Service this morning: Accumulating snow will spread northeast across the area Christmas night and continue on Saturday. Snow accumulation is expected to be highest from west central into central Minnesota. In addition, brisk north winds will develop Saturday afternoon across western Minnesota leading to considerable blowing and drifting snow with travel impacts possible.
