Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Gary Rossington Hospitalized

Guitarist and founding member of Lynyrd Skynyrd Gary Rossington is in the hospital.

Lynyrd Skynyrd was forced to cancel some shows over the weekend in Mississippi after guitarist and founding member Gary Rossington was hospitalized.

The details are sketchy, but reports say that Gary was admitted to the hospital after complaining of abdominal pain. Turns out Gary has some sort of abdominal infection. His bandmates offered an official statement saying that they are, “awaiting further tests and treatment.  Once we receive information on Gary's status we will release additional information."

I looked on their official website, and it seems the rest of the band is hopeful about Gary’s condition because their shows in Louisiana for this weekend are still on.
