If you watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, you will of course notice that there are musical artists on certain floats.  They sing.  They also are traveling throughout the parade.  You can't really do that and have some sort of sound system that is going to give you the capability to use a wireless mic and have it work correctly.

News flash- they ALL are lip-syncing.  This is not news.  But apparently someone called out one of them.  John Legend came to their defense stating that they all do because of the sound issues.  Duh.

Macy's Thanksgiving parade people issued an apology for having everyone lip-sync.  Since this is normal practice, and everyone does it for this particular event, what are they apologizing for?  For actually lip-syncing or for people doing it badly?  Diana Ross was the only one that I saw that wasn't hiding it at all.  She didn't always sing along and she didn't have a fake microphone.  She just sort of danced around and mouthed the words every so often.  I found that refreshing.

So, is it really a big deal?  I don't think so.
