Man Faces DWI Charges After Crashing Into Two Houses in St. Cloud
ST. CLOUD -- A St. Cloud man was arrested after crashing his car into two houses last (Wednesday) night in St. Cloud.
Sergeant Jason Burke says the incident happened just before midnight in the 1300 block of Cypress Road.
A vehicle driven by 27-year-old Christopher Martin ran off the road and struck a house before speeding across the yard and striking a second house across the street.
No one was hurt but both houses and two parked cars sustained significant damage. Neighbors say the estimated damage is in the thousands-of-dollars range.
Martin was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and taken to Stearns County Jail on charges of 4th degree D-W-I. Neighbors say they believe Martin was under the influence of synthetic drugs.
Martin also violated conditions placed on him through domestic violence court and he was held for court on an apprehension and detention order.
