Man Survives Jump From Granite City Crossing Bridge

ST. CLOUD - One lane of the Granite City bridge was shut down Wednesday afternoon when a man reportedly jumped from the bridge.

The St. Cloud Police Department says a 32-year-old man from St. Cloud jumped from the bridge with the intention of harming himself.

Witnesses near the river say they saw the man swim to the shore line after jumping.

Authorities made contact with the man on river bank and say he was uncooperative when questioned by police.

The man was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for further evaluation.
