The Vikings have announced that former Viking linebacker Matt Blair will be inducted into the team’s Ring of Honor at halftime of the October 25 game against Tampa Bay.  He was a 2nd round pick by the Vikings in 1974 out of Iowa State.  He started 130 of 160 career games and ranks 2nd in franchise history with a recorded 1,452 tackles.

Blair also holds the Vikings career record with 20 blocked kicks and his 23 sacks and 16 interceptions are both the most all time by a Viking linebacker.  He went to 6 straight Pro Bowls.  Blair will be the 20th individual inducted.
