Unemployment is still high across the country, according to various reports.

Mickey D's is looking to take a Big Mac bite out of that by attempting to fill 50,000 jobs in one day!

50,000 jobs.

Their "National Hiring Day" will take place April 19th, and before you scoff at "flipping burgers", keep in mind they will be seeking various management positions: data entry, accounting, management, advertising, PR, etc.

They've said in a statement "A 'McJob' is one with career growth and endless possibilities," noting that about half of its franchisees and more than 75 percent of its managers started as restaurant crew workers".

No matter what your area of expertise may be, what's the worst that can happen if you are unemployed and slip them your resume on the 19th?

Think about it: in these still-difficult times, you have a company that is expanding.

Their business is improving and more of their stores are going open 24 hours a day.

Imagine if every national chain joined in and did this once a year?

If you end up getting hired, see if you can push for Shamrock Shakes 365 days a year.
