Meatloaf Says He’s Fine; Denies Fainting

Meatloaf is speaking out about his fainting spells and insists that he's fine. 

Yesterday, I reported that singer Meatloaf had fainted at shows twice in the past week and now he's speaking out about the reports and his overall health.

He says nothing dramatic happened and he is not suffering any ill after effects following his performance Sunday in New Jersey. Celebrity gossip website TMZ said that Meat collapsed and needed oxygen to help him breathe. That, he says is true. What he says isn't true is that he has had more fainting spells since that incident.

He did collapse on stage two nights earlier in the middle of his show and ultimately did return to finish the concert after a short break and a profuse apology to his fans.

He says his chronic asthma was to blame in both cases. The show must go on, however. He performed last night in New York without incident.
