We've all heard about the 'equal pay' debate. We often hear about women making less for the same job being done by men, just because they're women. Well, according to a survey in Elle magazine, most men say being a woman wouldn't hurt their pay.

A whopping 80% of the guys in the survey didn't think their pay would drop just for magically becoming a woman. To me, the surprising part of the survey came from the women; who pretty much said the same thing. 70% of the women who responded said they didn't think their pay would increase just by magically becoming a man.

So while most of us aren't buying into the concept of an 'equal pay discrepancy,' the truth is that women in the top 20 most common professions earn about 80 percent of what men earn.

And no, I don't read Elle magazine.
