Mick Jagger's family tree is about to get another branch. A report out of England says that the Rolling Stones singer is going to be a father for the eighth time. He is 72, while his girlfriend, ballerina Melanie Hamrick, is 29.

An unnamed source on her side told the U.K. tabloid The Sun that she is more than three months pregnant, adding, "This is great news. It will be Mick’s eighth child and nothing fazes him. He’s been incredibly supportive." Saying they are "surprised and happy," the source added that "They are taking the news in their stride.” The news has been confirmed by a spokesperson.

The two have apparently been an item since 2014. However, there do not appear to be any plans for Hamrick and Jagger to get married. “Mick likes the arrangement they have and doesn’t want to be in another formal relationship. ... The plan is for Melanie to move out of New York and be based in L.A., where Mick spends a lot of time, or Connecticut where she knows people. ... In reality Melanie was coming toward the end of her career as a ballet dancer but has now had to give it up even earlier than planned.

Jagger has seven other children -- all but three of whom are older than Hamrick -- from four other women. His youngest child, Lucas, was born in 1999. The affair Jagger had with his mother Brazilian TV host Luciana Gimenez, resulted in the end of his relationship to Jerry Hall, the mother of four of his kids. In 2014, he became a great-grandfather when Assisi Jackson, the daughter of Jade Jagger -- his only child he had with ex-wife Bianca Jagger -- gave birth to a baby girl.

This will be the third new arrival in the Stones camp. Back in May, Ronnie Wood and his wife, Sally, welcomed twin girls, Gracie Jane and Alice Rose, into the world.
