ST. CLOUD - Music is not the only thing offered at Summertime by George. The weekly event also features the Middle Town Market where you can buy food, and do a little bit of shopping. Middle Town Market organizer Cindy Hawker says there are 35 food and beverage vendors this year. Six of those vendors are new to the festival.

Hawker says, “Central Perk from downtown is offering cold press coffee and artisan sodas. Eat More Treats is a new soft serve ice cream with candy toppings, kind of blizzard like shakes. The Great River Rotary Club will be serving Pig Wings. It's a pork shank served on a stick. Then we have Michael’s Restaurant who's going to be serving brats and sauerkraut on a bun, schweinsbraten, and spaetzel on a stick. Other than that the other favorites are back, we have Dickey's BBQ, Walleye Tacos from DB Searles, Axels serving shrimp tacos and fish sandwiches. There's smoked turkey legs, caramel popcorn, freshly squeezed lemonade, taco in a bag, cheesy fries, there's everything.”

There is also a variety of shopping in the Middle Town Market including artwork, purses, clothing, and jewelry. Hawker says throughout the summer different non-profit organizations will also be hosting booths with activities and information.

Besides the new food there are new services being provided at Summertime by George, including food items being offered in the beer garden, Eastman Tavern.

Hawker says, “We're going to pilot a program this year with help from the Great River Rotary Club, and St. Cloud Granite Rotary Club. They are going to handle ordering food in the beer garden. They have food runners, and you can enjoy your beer or wine and order food and enjoy it there which is really a new convenience we are adding for Summertime by George guests.”

Eastman Tavern will also be offering craft beer selections on certain weeks. Besides beer you can also enjoy a glass of wine, or frozen drinks.

Middle Town Market has another new program which allows you to park your bicycle in a safe place for free.

Hawker says, “We have a new bicycle valet service. It's free. You can ride your bike to the park and store it in our bike coral. We'll give you a ticket, it's like a coat check. So hopefully people will get some new exercise, leave their car at home, and bring their bike in a safe secure spot.”

Hawker added the music this year will be great with twelve different feature bands, twelve different opening acts, and twelve different singers performing the national anthem each week.
