According to a study published by 24/7 Wall Street, Minnesota has the second best quality of life when compared to other states. New Hampshire took the top spot. Iowa, North Dakota, and Wisconsin also finished in the top-ten. The study used nine factors to determine the ranking.

The factors used to rate the states were health, education, jobs, income, safety, environment, civic engagement, and accessibility to services and housing.

The ten BEST 'Quality of Life' states:

  1. New Hampshire
  2. Minnesota
  3. Vermont
  4. Iowa
  5. North Dakota
  6. Colorado
  7. Massachusetts
  8. Maine
  9. Washington
  10. Wisconsin

The ten WORST 'Quality of Life' states:

  1. Georgia (10th worst)
  2. New Mexico
  3. Louisiana
  4. South Carolina
  5. Oklahoma
  6. Tennessee
  7. West Virginia
  8. Arkansas
  9. Alabama
  10. Mississippi (worst)
