Minnesota State Fair Highlights This Weekend

This Labor Day weekend marks the final three days of the 12-day extravaganza that is the Minnesota State Fair. Weekend highlights include Garrison Keillor, Pronto Pups, Merle Haggard, Minnesota micro brews, a big talent contest, Midway discounts, animals, daily parades, and -- oh yeah, more food!

Saturday is 'FFA Day' at the Fair. Visit the barns and animal competition areas for FFA livestock judging and programs. AARP presents music and more at Carousel Park.

Sunday is 'Friends of The Fair Day,' celebrating those who support the nonprofit mission of the Minnesota State Fair Foundation. The grandstand state will feature Merle Haggard & Kris Kristofferson Sunday night.

Monday is 'Kids and last Chance Day. Celebrate Hmong Minnesota Day at Carousel Park. Mighty Midway & Kidway discounts all day. Last Chance bargains throughout the fair. Barns and CHS Miracle of Birth Center close early Monday.

Tuesday is 'Go To Work Because You Missed The Fair Day.' And that's just sad.
