A Minnesota state trooper noticed an injured bald eagle on the side of the road, and has given a helping hand into it's recovery.

The state trooper found the bird Sunday at the intersection of 494 and Pilot Knob in Eagan. He used his jacket to grab the eagle and placed it in his squad car. He then took the eagle to the University of Minnesota's Raptor Center.

X-rays showed the bird had no broken bones, but did have some internal injuries. The Raptor Center is optimistic about the eagle's recovery, however.
