The Minnesota Wild (39-22-7) beat the Vancouver Canucks (25-34-9) 5-2 last night in Vancouver to open their 2-day western Canada road trip.

The Wild and Canucks were tied 1-1 after the first, and 2-2 midway through the second -- before the Wild rolled off three straight goals to secure the win.

Minnesota goals came from Charlie Coyle (9), Matt Cullen (10), Marcus Foligno (7), Zach Parise (7), and Eric Staal (37).

With the win, the Wild stay within six points of second place in the division, with a chance to pull even close tonight.
