The Minnesota Wild (26-20-7) lost north of the border last night, falling to the Winnipeg Jets (28-18-10) 2-1 in overtime. The loss stops the Wild's winning streak at 6, but they still earned a valuable point in their push to make the playoffs.

The Wild are within two points of the Vancouver Canucks, who currently occupy the last of two Wild Card spots. The Jets sit in the first spot.

Mike Yeo's decision to play the hottest goaltender in the league on back-to-back nights looked like the right move, as Devan Dubnyk looked sharp -- turning back 32 of 34 Winnipeg shots. The Jets' overtime goal came on defensemen Dustin Byfuglien's breakaway with less than a minute left in OT.

The game was tied 0-0 after two. The lone Minnesota goal came from Jason Pominville halfway through the third period.

Next up for the Wild; tomorrow night at the Xcel Energy Center against Florida Panthers at 7 PM (Radio: 1240 WJON, TV: Fox Sports North).

Go Wild!
